The importance of Tabligh
What is the purpose of the coming of the Promised Messiah(as) ? Why is it necessary that we accept him and attest to the truth of his claim?
The Promised Messiah(as) says “I have been sent so that I may re-establish the lost glory of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and show to the world the truths contained in the Holy Qur'an” (Essence of Islam).
The Promised Messiah(as) says “If it was within my power, I would have desired to go from door to door like beggars and propagate the True Religion of Allah and thereby rescue humanity from polytheism (Shirk) and disbelief (Kufr). If Allah would grant me the knowledge of the English language, I would personally embark on preaching (Tabligh) expeditions and spend my entire life in this pursuit even if I were to die in this cause.” (Malfuzat, vol. 3, page 291-292, 1984).
The world seems to be shifting its dynamics based on superficial aspects, temporary gains, and emphasizing on short-term pleasures. We as the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at will not succumb to such deviances, as Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV has said “Call the world towards salvation and call them to the Lord of the Worlds. Otherwise the destiny of the people will go in the hands of godless people…” (Inspiring Events in the field of Tabligh by Maulana Ataul Mujeeb Rasheed, June 2004, pg.70).
Hazrat Khalifatul Masih I(ra) said “My desire is that I should give my whole life in service of the religion of truth.”
Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II(ra) asks the members of the community, “Do you have the courage that when the entire world says “No”, you say “Yes”. All around you people laugh at you, yet you remain composed. People run after you and say, “Wait, we are going to kill you”, and instead of running away you stop and with great humbleness you say, “Here, kill me.” You listen to no one, as you know the people utter falsehoods, but you should convince them all because you are truthful.”
Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV said: “Every Ahmadi who can hear me should become a guardian for himself. And he should take a solemn vow before Almighty God, and promise that he will convert at least one person to Ahmadiyyat within one year. And if he prays then this will not be difficult. When God is willing to bestow a favour upon you, it is the height of ungratefulness not to stretch your hand and receive it.”
“O Ahmadis of America and Canada, for how long will you remain in sheep’s clothing? Wake up! Discard that clothing. You are the lions of Allah! And like lions, with might and tenacity, you must conquer the jungles ahead of you. May God be with you. May God be with you. May God be with you.” Hadhrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad(ra), Khalifatul Masih IV, ’92 Jalsa Salana USA.
